Do not trust grades from a single assignment.
Form links around questions that you have.
Before you review a topic, try to remember as much as you can before viewing the information in your notebook.
Remember that information fades, you have about a three-day window before new information starts getting lost. Review that information before that happens.
Identify and focus on difficult questions. Seek help for those questions. Try to understand all aspects of those questions. Try to understand why you are having difficulty with these questions in particular.
Practice well. Some questions you know well only require review. Other questions you do not know so well require more time.
Have a place to study, preferably not your bed at home.
Have someone to study with (a study buddy).
Do not only review new material and material that will be on the upcoming test. Study everything.
